Vice Director of Education and Assistant Professor: Utilize experience in pedagogical research as a co-investigator role for an existing funded grant from the US Department of Education to provide teacher training in modern biology. Embedded within a world-class biomedical research facility and: 1) oversees pedagogically-related instructional activities; 2) assists in curriculum selection, adaptation and development activities with the use of modern bio-technological tools; 3) conduct the pedagogical research component of the project in coordination with evaluation consultants to assure that the research procedures and measures will produce valid data that is of interest to audiences nationwide; and 4) participate in instructional activities using expertise in classroom pedagogy and cognitively-based instructional methods.
